This week in class we didn’t have much time to work on new things. We really only met twice because there was a physics day feild trip, senior skip day, and then a day when Mr. Stengel was out.

During those few days we worked on our teacher blogs and also learned how to add a few things to our personal blogs. We made a chart on our portfolio page to show all of our progression in links. Also we went and used this website called odiogo to make all our our posts into audio. This way instead of reading everything you could just click and listen to the posts.

Even though there wasnt much done this week time wise, I feel as though the changes we made were very important to the usability of our blogs.

This week in class we worked on google calendars. I really enjoyed learning how to do this beacuse i like to organize things i need to do and it had a spot for me to put everything down in. I made a calendar for myslef and then created one that Mrs Sheppard can use to write down homework for her different classes for our teacher projects.

Also I started to make anw image to add to the sidebar of our blogs. Another addition i havent mentioned was the voki. We made voki’s in class that will speak the text that we type in. I tried to make one that resembled me for my own blog. I also stared to create one for my teacher blog but the window got closed out before I could get the code.

This week in class we have been continuing work on our teacher’s blogs. We learned a few things that we can do that will help improve the quality of our projects.

We started the week off by finding something creative to add to our blogs. We made banners on paint to add something to our sidebars. After we created the image we uploaded it to to our blogs and got switched to the code section. once we got the code we added it to a text widget. I chose to put it on the side bar under the meta widget.

Also in class we read articles on widgets. i was actually pretty interested because it incorrperated sites that i use like myspace and facebook.I also helped Alyssa figure out how to add shading to the headline to her blog

This week we didn’t really have class too much because we didn’t get a chance to meet daily due to the CAPT week schedule. When we did meet we discussed RSS and different ways to change around our blogs. RSS gives a list of headlines and content to a wide number of people. We also created google accounts and activated them at home. although we are unable to access mail at school we can use other aspects of  gmail that will help us in the class.

This week in class I edited my blog. I learned more about plugins and what to have activated and deactivated. I also changed the background and added a picture that i found on google to the image header. I changed my subtitle to a smiley face cause i didn’t really know what to put. Also i added my first blogroll. i also played aruond with the widgets and slected some to appear in my profile. over the weekend i’m gunna look around the google reader and google documents. 

This week in class i’ve learned about making web pages. i learned about the language of the web, HTML, and javascript. We put what we learned into effect by creating edublogs where we can reflect on what we’ve done in class by posting it on our blog.
